1) WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 'NATURAL PAINT' AND A 'WATER-BASED PAINT'? +

Natural paint contains no ingredients derived from petrochemicals, so it has a very low environmental impact and is not dangerous for those who produce it, those who apply it, or those who choose to use it in their living environments. Furthermore, it does not emit hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Water-based paints can contain highly polluting and health-damaging ingredients. Water is simply a vehicle for all the coloring, bonding, preservatives, and other ingredients, which are almost always derived from petrochemicals and are therefore highly harmful to people and the environment.

2) HOW ARE YOUR PAINTS APPLIED? +

Every paint product comes with a technical data sheet that indicates dilution instructions, drying times, application methods, etc. It's important to follow the instructions on the technical data sheet to achieve optimal results. The technical data sheets can be downloaded from our website.

3) ARE YOUR PAINTS 'WASHABLE'? +

Dirt can be removed from our paints with a light abrasive action, without the use of harsh detergents. Natural paints are not as washable as so-called washable paints, but excellent water repellency can be achieved using our beeswax-based products.

4) CAN THEY BE APPLIED WITH A ROLLER? +

For best results, lime-based paints should be applied with a brush. Our smooth, lime-free paints can be applied with a roller. In this case, we recommend choosing pastel colors to avoid highlighting the roller marks.

5) IS IT TRUE THAT LIME PAINTS 'DISINFECT'? +

Lime creates an alkaline environment that prevents bacterial growth, maintaining vapor permeability, which is why it is particularly recommended in humid environments.

6) CAN I SOLVE THE MOLD PROBLEM WITH LIME? +

Mold is a fungus that, if left untreated, can create truly annoying and unsightly problems in your home. Mold develops due to a combination of factors related to insulation, air circulation, and certain household habits. To permanently eliminate it, you need to address these factors. Our 'Remedia' anti-mold line consists of lime-based detergent and paint with essential oils. With Remedia, you can disinfect walls and furniture; you may not see mold for years, but we recommend adopting small, healthy habits like opening windows for a few minutes in the morning and when you shower. It's also best not to dry laundry indoors.

7) HOW ARE THEY DILUTED? +

Each product has its own dilution indicated on the label, we recommend following the instructions provided.

8) HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD THERE BE BETWEEN ONE COAT AND THE OTHER? +

It is necessary to leave at least 6-8 hours between one coat and the next, always making sure that the first coat is completely dry.

9) WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE BRUSH DOESN'T FLOW? +

This can happen due to several factors, the most common being: under-diluted paint or a highly absorbent substrate. In these cases, simply moisten the substrate with a spray bottle.

10) WHAT IS MEANT BY 'NATURAL COLOR'? +

A pigment is considered natural when it is extracted from a quarry and pulverized or burned without chemical intervention. These are generally called "natural earths." Then there are other color categories that fall under the category of natural colors: for example, minerals. These may have undergone "soft chemical" treatments and are therefore harmless to humans and the environment.

The colors used in conventional paints are created entirely in laboratories, may contain heavy metals, and may be treated with petrochemicals. During processing and disposal, they are very harmful to people and the environment.

11) ARE NATURAL FINISHES VERY EXPENSIVE? +

They are in line with the costs of a good conventional paint.

12) WHY ARE THERE RISK SYMBOLS AND PHRASES ON THE LABELS? +

There are many substances in nature that can be irritating or cause hypersensitivity. Lime and some of the natural ingredients we use can be irritating to the eyes and skin, so we always recommend wearing protective clothing when using them.

13) WHAT ARE THE STORAGE TIMES? +

When the package is tightly closed and in climates that are neither too hot nor too cold, our products can last for years.

14) HOW DO I DISPOSE OF THE PACKAGING? +

Separate waste collection, whether aluminum or plastic, requires that the packaging be perfectly clean. Therefore, dirty packaging should be disposed of in the unsorted waste bins. We recommend taking it to your nearest waste collection point.
